The Council’s Story

Founded in 1987, the Caribbean South American Hispanic Council has decades of expertise dedicated to fostering economic integration, cultural exchange, and community empowerment across the Caribbean and South America. We believe in mutual growth—where Caribbean and South American nations benefit equally from regional cooperation and the opportunities presented by the Caribbean Basin Initiative (CBI).

Sergio Singh Bhairo:** Formerly with Cushing Enterprise under William Cushing, passionate about regional development.

Mervyn Dyma:** A distinguished leader, former citizen of Trinidad and Tobago, served as Lieutenant Governor and Congressman, and a champion for regional progress. After his passing, our ongoing mission is to honor his legacy by advancing the success of CBI nations through dedicated advocacy and strategic initiatives.
